Ko Phi Phi Islands, Thailand Leading Tourist Attraction

Phi Phi is a group of small islands on the west coast of southern Thailand. This tourist spot is able to capture millions of foreign tourists each year. Consists of six small islands, the two main islands here are Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. The islands are very attract tourists because of the beautiful panorama, a mixture of clear blue sea with islands of green karst.

Phi Phi and other islands in the region affected by the tsunami devastated the Indian Ocean in 2004. For several years after the disaster, the tourism sector which is the mainstay of this area were destroyed. Hundreds of residents of Phi Phi including foreign tourists dead and missing. But now, no longer visible trace of ferocity the tsunami. Back foreign tourists visiting this place and Phi Phi Thailand became the mainstay of tourism.

Phi Phi Don, the largest island, uninhabited and has a fairly complete facilities. Many tourists choose to spend a few days on this island. The island is also often a port of transit for those who want to go to Ko Lanta or Ko Phanga.

Most of the travelers reached the island of Phi Phi via Phuket, which is also one of the most famous tourist sites in Thailand. Some other travelers choose to go to Phi Phi in Krabi mainland via Thailand.

Tourist attractions that usually can be enjoyed from the Phi Phi Islands tour is a visit to Maya Bay. This beautiful cove famous after becoming the location filming the movie "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio. In this bay, tourists can capture the scenic beauty of the high karst rocks, traditional boats, or swimming and water play. This place is also very suitable for sports snorkeling because the water is crystal clear and beautiful underwater panorama. A variety of small fish of different colors contained on this beach.

You can also watch the Viking Cave, or Viking Cave which is a relic of ancient caves. Viking Cave is located on Phi Phi Leh is uninhabited. You can only watch the beauty of the ship, because only a kayak or small boat that can approach the cave. The cave was also the location of the bird's nest.
