Death Day Festival in Mexico

North America, Mexico. On October 31-November 2, all the people doing the festival which is unique in the world are celebrating the day of death or He de los Muertos in the local language. It is wrapped in shades of sad and gloomy. To remember and honor those who have died, Mexicans celebrate the festive and colorful.

The festival is done by visiting the graves and decorate it with a minute silence in front of friends and family members who had preceded them. Americans usually also make decorative skull with bright colors in their homes to welcome the spirits.

Regarding the origin of Death's Day, which began before the Spanish conquest of the dead were buried close to home, sometimes even under the house. With the arrival of the Spaniards and Catholicism, the practice of the day All Souls and All Saints then inserted into the beliefs and customs of commemoration Prehispanic Death then celebrated.
