Atatürk Olympic Stadium or Olimpiyat Stadi, located in İkitelli, on the outskirts of Istanbul, is Turkey's largest stadium. The stadium was built for Turkey's Olympic plans and the cost of 130 million. Atatürk Olympic Stadium was designed by two French architects Michel Macary and Aymeric Zublena, who was also the architect of the Stade de France in Paris. With 80,567 seats and the size of the Olympics, given the title Ataturk stadium sports complex a 5 star by UEFA in 2004, so that he can be the host for the event-event finals UEFA.
Atatürk Olympic Stadium has hosted several European athletics championships. UEFA Champions League Final 2005 between Liverpool and AC Milan was held in this stadium.
