Although the U.S. weather agency terminate a blizzard warning for the northeastern U.S., the storm was not really gone. Areas along the coast of Atlantic Canada are now in a blizzard and wind exposure. Officials in eastern Canada said the storm that has brought a large amount of snow and forcing the cancellation of flights from Fredericton and Moncton. About 40,000 homes in the area also suffered power outages.

Canada weather agency said, "Winds with gusts exceeding 90 miles per hour will cause a broad distribution of snow, which will reduce visibility to near zero in the region." Some areas even at risk of high winds up to 150 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, the New York metropolitan area, business activity and various city services slowly returned to normal after nearly 24 hours of paralysis. Three major airports in the city also is struggling to recover. La Guardia International Airport was opened again on Monday afternoon, following John F. Kennedy International Airport, said Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Newark International Airport in New Jerseyis the last to reopen .
